Baby bird kami guardian spirit raku sculpture

This little one is a sweet baby bird kami, an innocent guardian spirit of spring, new life, and new hope. He's a little unsure of this world in which he finds himself, but he knows that he can still shine his brightest and help make things better and more beautiful while he's here. And he wants us to know that we can do that too, even if it seems scary in this world sometimes. Or often! He's 3.1cm tall.

This gentle little bird is made from stoneware, glazed in non-toxic glaze, and raku fired for the gifts of smoke and flame.

Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, gentleness, and spirit to the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with natural materials.
