Cast In fine grained white concrete, Standing an impressive 21" high, 8" across at the wings, 6-7/5- 7" diameter at the base, and weighing roughly 30 lbs. Individually hand painted, and waterproof sealed.
This handsome beast, a symbol of Our Pride and Strength.
Some interesting facts.
Their nests will be upwards of 6' deep and 8'wide.
Wingspan: 5.9-7.5" (adult)
Life span 20 years in the wild.
Conservation status: Least concern( Population increasing) Encyclopedia of Life.
Speed: 75-99 Miles Per Hour (Diving)
The bald eagle with it's snowy feathered (not bald) head and tails, is the proud national symbol of the United States-
Yet the bird was nearly wiped out.
For Many years, bald eagles were hunted for sport and the protection of fishing grounds., Pesticides like DDT wreaked havoc on eagles and other birds. These chemicals collect in fish, which make up most of the eagles diet. They weaken the birds eggshells, and severely limited their ability to reproduce.
Since DDT use was heavily restricted in 1972, Populations have rebounded significantly, and have been aided by reintroduction programs. The result is a wildlife success story.
The US Fish and Wildlife service has upgraded the birds from endangered to least concern.

Encased in an expanding foam product, but should shipping damage occur, send pictures of the damage and packaging. I'll file the insurance claim and reship once the insurance claim is completed. Be sure to save all materials for inspection.

- This item is outdoor safe, however, i suggest bringing it in for the winter in freeze zones. The freeze and thaw cycle can wear on concrete. It will last many years if protected from weather extremes. If you get a ding, or chip, contact me, and i;ll send some touch up paints. This is my flagship product, and hope you love him as much as i do
