Kitsune fox kami Inari talisman raku sculpture

(5.4cm tall) This lovely and friendly Shinto kitsune fox statue feels like a wonderful friend. She fits beautifully in the hand (at least, she fits beautifully in my hand!), and feels so very loving, accepting, and cheerful. She would be perfect for an Inari kamidana shrine or altar or as a guardian spirit during those more difficult days.

This fox is made of stoneware, glazed in non-toxic glaze, and raku fired for the amazing gifts of smoke and flame.

Kitsune are the fox-messengers of the Shinto kami Inari Okami: the deity of rice, sake, agriculture, fertility, tea, and prosperity, among other things, kitsune foxes guard Inari shrines and carry his/her messages to us.

Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, gentleness, and spirit to the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with natural materials.
