Spirit hare kami, nature elemental guardian raku sculpture

This hare (or usagi rabbit) kami is super special. She just radiates love, kindness, and gentle acceptance and feels like a ray of sunshine. She warms my heart and reminds me that we can choose to walk away from the hard, angry human world we've created. We can create something so much better. She would be wonderful for a Shinto kamidana shrine, altar, or sacred space. This gentle spirit is 5.5cm tall.

She's made from stoneware clay, fired once, glazed with non-toxic glaze, and raku fired for the gifts of fire and smoke.

Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, and gentleness into the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with only non-toxic material.
