(0.7cm tall) This is an extremely small, minuscule little Jizo in a beautiful violet colour. He's very happy and full of love, a little beam of light and kindness for your day, whether he lives in a soft pocket or on a kamidana shrine.
He has been fired once, glazed, and then raku fired with natural wood shavings for the amazing gifts of smoke and flame.
Jizo is a Japanese Shinto spirit, a kami who found his way to Japan through Buddhism. He is a guardian of women, children, and travellers; he comforts us through grief and bereavement.
Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, and gentleness into the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with only non-toxic material.
