Tiny raku cloud Jizo sculpture

(1.3cm tall) Here is a happy and peaceful little cloud Jizo Shinto kamidana talisman statue to remind us that clouds bring much-needed rain, and that sometimes a cloudy day can be a chance to rest, regather, and get strong again. We all need that sometimes.

He has been fired once, glazed with non-toxic glaze, and raku fired with natural wood shavings for the amazing gifts of smoke and flame.

Jizo is a Japanese Shinto spirit, a kami who found his way to Japan through Buddhism. He is a guardian of women, children, and travellers; he comforts us through grief and bereavement.

Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, and gentleness into the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with only non-toxic material.
