Precious coral is a naturally colored material that grows in ocean reefs. Today, with many reefs endangered, harvesting is highly regulated, making the supply both limited and costly.  Healers associate coral with emotional healing because of its origin in the sea. *Pink coral is traditionally seen as protecting women in pregnancy and childbirth.

CARE:

Coral is one of the softer gemstones (3-4 on the Moh scale). As such it should be kept away from chemicals like chlorine, bleach, and even beauty products, as well as cleaning machines. All it needs is an occasional wipe with a damp cloth or tissue. Jewelry cleaning wipes or cloths can be used on the gold only. Keep handmade jewelry away from young children.
