Our unique design serves two functions: 1) as a tactile top tube protector and 2) as a shoulder cushion for those who prefer to "portage" their bicycle on their shoulder - whether you’re a crosscycling athlete or an urban commuter.

Like our other easy to sew on products, the Portage Strap comes as a kit that you stitch on yourself with pre-punched stitching holes, needle, thread, and instructions.

The natural oils in your hands burnish our high-quality American leather into a glossy patina that will last you a lifetime. You get to keep the patina you've earned: you can transfer it from bike to bike, and over the years it will only get more beautiful with use and time.

Fits standard bicycle frame tubing of 1.125" diameter (approximately 2.86 cm).

We recommend ensuring there is no friction (no touching) between the Portage Strap and the cabling systems of your bike. Such as, around a cable housing instead of against the bare cable. For those bikes, we recommend using our Bicycle Frame Handle instead.
