I can make you a custom carving of any place in the solar system where 3D data is available. If you have a special connection to our Moon or Mars, I can make you a tangible reminder. You can touch the surface of another planet. And they are meant to be touched, people of all ages reach for these carvings when they encounter them.

Do you have access to spatial data from around the solar system? Are you a planetary scientist or an astronomer? Are you tired of looking at stereo images on a computer screen and are ready to place extra-terrestrial terrain in your hands? Look no further! Sizes up to 24"x24"x3" are available. Several finishes can be used including oil, shellac, and lacquer. Turnaround time is as low as one week. Wood choices are nearly unlimited, but I prefer to work with locally available hardwoods like eastern red cedar, maple, poplar, oak, and walnut. The starting price of $175 gets you a framed 6"x6"x1" custom carving using the terrain of your choice. Adding resin, textual elements, more complex custom framing, etc. can increase the cost.
