My books are currently open for commissions for summer/fall season to build some truly giant (6+ ft) custom mushroom sculpture art installations made from chainsaw carving fallen trees.
Similar to my other listing of large carved wooden mushrooms, this will be custom carved of natural fresh harvested tree logs.
Min size is 6ft up to about 15-18 ft (depending on the size of logs available).
Additional size and complexity options will increase the price. Contact me for a custom price quote if you want larger or multiple mushroom caps or details to compose the whole installation.
Sculpture will be sanded smooth and preserved with multiple coats of walnut oil and a wood wax sealant made of natural non-petroleum based ingredients.
Any custom detail work that you'd like to be carved onto the mushrooms can be negotiated. The additional complexity will increase the price and time estimate.
For example:
- a single mushroom cap & stem at 6ft tall, sanded smooth - $5,999 full price (minimum size order)
- 6 large mushroom caps & stems or varying sizes from 6-15 ft tall, all with decorative engravings will be in the range of 60k and take about 12 weeks to complete
Non-refundable deposit of $999 required to confirm a booking.

Once we're clear on the vision, I will create a custom listing in my shop for you to process the remainder of the payment. For larger commissions, arrangements can be made to pay in installments over an agreed upon timeline.

- NOTE: This product will not be shipped. This is for a custom at sculpture commission to be built on your property, size and wood type subject to what kind of trees are available in your area. I don't intent to cut down any fresh trees for this installation. The process will involve working with a local arborist in your area to source a recently removed or diseased tree that can be utilized for the project.
