CROW was always jealous of RAVEN.

Raven was considered a bird of good omen. Crow was not. Crow was jealous of Raven because Raven’s croak always attracted the attention of humans who believe he could predict the good or evil course of future events.  Seeing some travelers approaching, Crow distracted Raven by telling him that his favorite fruit has ripened and was awaiting him. As Raven flew off, Crow glided up into a tree, perching herself on one of the branches, mimicking Raven’s croak as loudly as she could.  The travelers turned towards the sound and shook their heads in disgust, then one said, "Let keep moving, for it is only the caw of a crow, and her cry, you know, is no omen." 

Raven returned, and he was furious. He warned Crow -

“Don’t try to be something you are not; you will only make yourself look absurd.”
