"Enter Algernon" - letterpress print
This 5x7" letterpress print features Oscar Wilde's sole stage direction for Algernon's Act 2 entrance in The Importance of Being Earnest. On a pale yet bold pink card stock (that doesn't photograph well), basic yet impactful ornaments emphasize the delightful concept Wilde wanted to be sure all Algernon actors considered. Wilde fans, aspiring actors, future/current/past Algernons, and those that appreciate the gay and debonair will appreciate this.
Thanks to the nature of letterpress, you can see and feel the imprint on the back side (also probably including some ink from the other pages stacked underneath as I was printing!). The print is signed, dated, and includes an edition number on the back.
This was assembled and printed by me at Scale House Print Shop in Hartford, VT on a 1892 Golding Pearl printing press with a limited run of 26. There can be no other *exactly* like these!
