Fennec Fox Necklace – Handcrafted Fox Pendant by Moon Raven Designs

The fennec fox  is a small nocturnal fox found in the Sahara of North Africa. Its most distinctive feature is its unusually large ears, which serve to dissipate heat. The fennec is the smallest species of canid in the world. Its coat, ears, and kidney functions have adapted to high-temperature, low-water, desert environments. In addition, its hearing is sensitive enough to hear prey moving underground. It mainly eats insects, small mammals, and birds. It is also known to make an excellent pet.

This little Fennec fox pendant is cast in solid jewelers grade bronze  and has been oxidized in the recesses to reveal ever single sculptured hair. He measures  7/8" across his pronounced ears and is 1'" long overall. Hanging from his chain he lays perfectly, and to refer to him a "cute" is a definite understatement.
