Gemstone Fire & Ice Resin Clam Shell Decoration or Ring Dish

Gemstones take center stage in this natural clam shell.  I found this extra large clam shell on a beach walk.  This shell is over 5 inches across and nearly 4 inches front to back.  
I used multiple types of rocks and minerals in this piece.  The one that is my favorite in this piece is the large stone in the center with the multiple bands going around the center which I believe is an agate.  

The sand background in the shell has gold color shift  and when the light hits it, this piece really comes alive, with colors shifting depending on the angle of the light hitting it.  

I call this "Fire & Ice" because of the red and orange on the stones but also the red swirls in the resin itself.

This piece is part of a new series of shells with their full focus on gemstones.  I'm pleased with the final result and hope you like it just as much.
