Purple Amethyst Gemstone & Resin Ocean Clam Shell

I was inspired to create this bright and fun shell based off a monthly art challenge from an online artist group on Discord.  The theme was amethyst.  As you can see, I leaned in heavily to the challenge. 

This large clam shell was collected from my beach walks here at the Jersey Shore.  It is over 5 inches long and about 4 inches front to back.  

There is a large amethyst stone in the center of the beautiful purple resin "water" as well as amethyst chips along the "shoreline". 

You can use this as a decorative piece or it can make a great ring dish or jewelry dish. 

I am very pleased with the end result of this shell.  Purple is my favorite color and I love gemstones, especially amethyst.
