Handmade hardback book

These hardback books make wonderful gifts (for yourself or others) and are meant to be used - none of that "oh, this is too precious!" They are handmade and come with their own unique imperfections. Fill a handmade book with your imperfect ideas :)

They are made with unlined 80 lb. text weight paper best for pencil, pen, and some markers. The books are bound with the coptic method. This means no glue is used to bind the pages - they lay flat (great for artists) and the spine is uncovered so you are able to see the stitches and folded edges of paper. 

They have cloth covers, fun endpapers, and bound with beeswax lined linen thread or hemp thread (with a little beeswax to help me thread). A Piep Press stamp is usually found on the last page or the back endpaper.

Burgundy Cover has..a burgundy cover and is around 4.33-ishx6"! The endpapers are a saturated blue with a pattern of stylized gold stars, dots, planets, and constellations. The pages are bound with black beeswax-lined linen thread. The individual pages are a slightly blue tinged speckletone paper from French Paper. It has 120 pages (back & front).

Pink Cover has..a hot pink cover and is around 4.33-ishx6"! The endpapers are black with a pattern of stylized gold stars, moons, planets, and clouds. The pages are bound with turquoise green hemp thread treated with a bit of beeswax to make the binding easier on me. The individual pages are a slightly blue tinged speckletone paper from French Paper. It has 120 pages (back & front).

Navy Cover has..a navy cover and is around 5x7"! The endpapers are a lovely loud pattern of flowers in orange and red. The pages are bound with a rainbow hemp thread with colors that change as the thread goes on - it makes a super fun spine and a little surprise when you get to the middle of a signature and get to see the inner seams and their variations! I treated the ends of the hemp with beeswax to help thread the needle. The individual pages are a slightly blue tinged speckletone paper from French Paper. It has 120 pages (back & front).

Grey Cover has..a grey cover and is around 6x8.75"! The endpapers are a fun pattern with abstract green flowers on a navy background. The pages are bound with a rainbow hemp thread with colors that change as the thread goes on - it makes a super fun spine and a little surprise when you get to the middle of a signature and get to see the inner seams and their variations! I treated the ends of the hemp with beeswax to help thread the needle. The individual pages are a slightly blue tinged speckletone paper from French Paper. It has 120 pages (back & front).
