Live Edge Side/End Table - Tigerwood and Sapele

This sleek and elegant end table features a live-edge tigerwood slab for the top. The frame is constructed from sapele. Built completely with hand tools from milling the rough lumber to final assembly, except for sanding. The frame utilizes mortise-and-tenon joinery at the stretchers. Grooves in the lower stretchers secure the low shelf. Assembled with hide glue (frame) while figure-8 connectors secure the top to the frame. Finished with three coats of Osmo PolyX Hard Wax Oil, an all-natural, low-VOC (volatile organic compound) finish consisting of natural oils and waxes that preserves the feel of the wood, without a "plasticky" sheen or feel.
