make your own - shrimp cat toy

This is a ready-to-sew shrimp cat toy kit!

Comes with:

• 3 pieces of leather: one shrimp body and two antenna. Holes are pre-punched.
• 2 rounded-tip needles and approximately 1 yard of thread - if you have a color preference, put it in the order notes, or I will give you a random shrimpy color.
• polyfill stuffing or scrap wool
• catnip (optional)

You will need to:

• sew up the shrimp body using saddle stitch - check out this video by Corter Leather on sewing saddle stitch without a stitching pony - I've got it timestamped to skip the steps you won't have to do.
• create the curve in the body by overlapping segments - I usually stitch the first stitch of the next segment together with the last stitch of the current segment. I keep the new segment on the outside.
• stuff the shrimp as you sew - I usually add more stuffing about every other body segment, as it's hard to stuff all the stitching in once the shrimp is more fully stitched up.
• if desired, roll up catnip into the stuffing. I wrap the stuffing around the catnip like I'm rolling up a burrito in order to ensure it doesn't come out.
• attach the antenna at your desired location on the head - I sandwich them between the main body piece and stitch through.
