"Pumpkin" - block print
This is a block print on thin, slightly beige 6x9" mulberry paper. Pumpkin was our matriarch hen. She died a couple weeks ago, but I carved this in 2022 because she was utterly photogenic. She was a powerhouse and truly missed by all that knew her. A lovely gift for fans of chickens and general bad-ass feminine beings.
This is a part of a 10 print run, though I will undoubtably print more in the future. This was one of my first dives back into printmaking and I forgot the proper order of signing and numbering :(
Due to the nature of block printing, each print - even those in the same series - is going to look a little different. It’s a unique piece of art, maybe even moreso because of my numbering/signing snafu.
