"Pumpkin" - block print

Pumpkin was our matriarch hen. She died in 2023 (RIP) but I carved this in 2022 because she was utterly photogenic. She was a powerhouse and truly missed by all that knew her. A lovely gift for fans of chickens and general bad-ass feminine beings.

The "on white" prints are on thin, slightly beige 6x9" mulberry paper with black ink. This was one of my first dives back into printmaking and I forgot the proper order of signing and numbering :(

The "on purple" ones are on 5x7" purple cardstock with light orange ink, printed after I recalled the proper order of signing and numbering :)

Due to the nature of block printing, each print - even those in the same series - is going to look a little different. It’s a unique piece of art, maybe even moreso because of my numbering/signing snafu.
