Raven Steals His Sword.
Etching, 5 1/4-inch x 8 1/4-inch,
"Little Crow" is a famed sword of the Japanese medieval Taira clan, stolen by the rival Minamoto clan. In the Katsushika Hokusai woodcut, Hokusai shows the famed Blade.
“Little Crow” is stolen by a crow.
“Forn Hrafn” is old Norse for “Old Raven” and is also described as the oldest style of Viking Blades. Early Medieval Scandinavian blades were similar to the later weapons but instead of double-edged blades, the early blades were single-edged and humbler than later Viking Blades.
“Old Raven” is stolen by a raven.
This print is a homage to the great Japanese master artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849)
