Framed Resin Ocean Sealife Wall Hanging or Tabletop Art

Next comes the fun.  I start by adding resin and sand into the bottom section and let that cure.  Next I add layer after layer of resin with additional mix ins, letting it cure between each layer.  This gives the project depth so when you look at it the fish or shells are applied in layers as I continue with each resin pour. Each layer could include miniature natural seashells, gemstones, miniature pearl beads, glitter, & more.  I use natural materials as often as possible especially when it comes to the shells stones, sand, gemstones, etc.  There are many different species of sea life inside also.  There are seahorses, octopus, fish, jellyfish, & starfish, however, they are not real specimens and are assorted materials and supplies that I collect in my travels.  There are some metal wheels that I put in the sand to appear as a ships wheel.  Everytime I look at it I see something different and it's a lot of fun to have around.  Your guests will enjoy gazing at this piece everytime they come over. 

It is 4 inches x 4 inches and has a thick jute cord to be easily hung on the wall.  It also offers a metal hook on the backside similar to what you see on a picture frame.  It's metal hanger with teeth across it that you could set on nail if you would rather not use the cord.  It can also sit up on a shelf as the bottom edge is nice and wide so it fully supports itself in a standing or hanging position. In the photos I have it standing as is with no other support so leaving out as a tabletop decoration is a great option.

This piece should not be hung or displayed in full sunlight as the sunlight will be harmful to the resin after some time. It should be displayed indoors and is not suitable as an outside display.  It is sealed but not a weatherproof seal so being outside would not be good for this piece.
