This one-of-a-kind seashell is a shell fragment that’s been softened on the edges into this perfectly charm-ing shape by its time in the ocean. The shell is milky white with a dark wash of color etched into the natural grooves along the surface. The shell is paired with burgundy recycled glass beads to complement the colors etched in the shell.
When hung in a window, some shells can get a glow from light shining through the back of the shell, and beads play with the light – reflecting, sparkling, glinting, brightening – depending on the light and the type of bead.
This seashell was found on a gorgeous beach on the Salish Sea coast of the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. The shell is hand-drilled and carefully transformed into a charm for a simple and natural everyday delight, or a holiday treat for your tree.
