Size 7.75 Sterling Silver Ring with 16mm x 17mm Meteorite Fragment in Prong Setting

Hand forged sterling silver ring with approx. 16mm x 17mm Campo del Cielo meteorite fragment. Sturdy double shank made from two sterling silver half-round wires.

Natural meteorite fragment from Argentina Campo del Cielo (‘Field of Heaven’) area believed to have fallen 4000 to 5000 years ago. While this fragment has not been analyzed, most Campo fragments contain primarily iron, with inclusions of nickel, cobalt, phosphorus, gallium and germanium.

Overall tone is shiny silver shank with a matte finish on the prongs holding the dark iron meteorite fragment. U.S. size 7.75 approximately.  Inside stamped with 'DPV' maker's mark and '.925' sterling hallmark.
