Sterling Silver and 14K Gold Petal Earrings

What should I call this shape?  A ruffle? A partial daisy? A petal?  In any case, the unexpected organic shapes make great earrings that kind of echo the shape of your ear lobes.  They are hand sawn from sterling silver sheet, with sterling posts. The little gold dot embelishments are 14K gold. 

The earrings measure about 3/4 of an inch across at the widest point.
