Teardrop Glass Earrings

These earrings are all elegant and understated, but reflect the light in a really gorgeous way. They were inspired by a pair of broken earrings I found in a purchase of broken jewelry that I bought to repurpose. The inspiration were just two simple beads but they sparkled so beautifully that I instantly knew I needed to make more of this style of earring. The lengths on these vary slightly due to the different beads used, but they are all close to 1 and 1/2 or 1 and 3/4 inches long from the top of the hook to the bottom of the earring.

There are three sets with black glass beads. In one set, the finish on the black spheres is kind of a mirror finish. On the other set with spheres it's sort of an electroplated multicolor on one side and translucent on the other. They are gorgeous beads. And the last set has a square faceted bead on top of the teardrop shape. None of these black sets photograph quite as well as I would like them to. I find them to be much more impressive in person.

All of the beads are glass, some of which have slight dents and dings, but they are all but unnoticeable unless super zoomed-in-up-close eyes are looking at them. The two sets with cream colored beads are on 14k gold plated hooks, and the others are all on a silver colored hypoallergenic metal alloy hook.
