100% Polwarth wool combed top. 4 oz. 3-4 inch staple length. Micron count 22-23, so it is next to skin soft. Colorway: Tidal
The Polwarth breed of sheep was developed in Australia and originated as a cross of 3/4 Merino and 1/4 English longwool breed. The result is an incredibly soft fleece but with a longer staple than Merino. I highly recommend that new spinners try this wool; it is an absolute delight to spin. This braid of fiber will felt or spin up beautifully, blending together light to dark shades of teal. Hand dyed by me using professional dyes in my smoke free, pet friendly fiber studio. All photos are taken outside in natural lighting to best capture actual colors; however, please keep in mind that there are differences in how colors display on different device screens.
Care instructions: Hand wash in cold water. Lay flat to dry.
