Here is a warm autumn colored machine stitched quilt made from patchwork square pieces. As very old quilts, the cotton batting is very thin, telling it's age. Note photo that shows fraying edges and thinning fabrics from it's previous life. This coat is thin due to the worn nature of this treasure.
Outer front pockets and a single coconut button add to the simplistic beauty and age. French seams were used to hide raw edges and give a smooth finish. The front edges of the coat and the scarf are finished with coordinated bias tape handmade from vintage ties. The lining is a gold cotton fabric.
This quilt coat is like no other! Treat yourself to this one of a kind coat and step out in style.
Your new quilted country coat will be inspected, packaged in a recycled or recyclable mailer and mailed the next business day.
