Weighted Yarn Bowl
A yarn bowl has one job: hold the ball while you pull. Light bowls fail at it. Tug the working yarn a little too fast and the whole thing slides across the side table, tips, and now you're chasing the bowl instead of the yarn.
This one is ballasted. Six metal weights, 3 ounces in all, sit in a false-bottom compartment under the bowl floor. The center of gravity stays low. You get the planted feel of stoneware in a bowl that survives the trip off the couch arm instead of shattering.
Feeding it is easy. Drop your strand into the curved top-loading slot and get to work. When the project comes off the hook, lift the yarn straight out. Nothing to cut, nothing to re-thread. Three small side holes carry extra strands for colorwork or park a spare hook, and the yarn itself stays off the floor, out of the dust, and away from anyone with paws.
The form is a small cauldron: wide belly, flared rim, footed base. A carved spiral wraps the front.
Two finishes. Natural is the bare wood-fiber PLA blend with soft banding. Dark Walnut is the same bowl, sanded and stained. Allow extra time if you order it sanded and stained.
