Three Legged Hardwood Stool with Embroidered Top

Hand made hardwood stool with an embroidered top, design and crafted in our studio in Wimberley, Texas. The top is hand embroidered with Peruvian Highland wool. The base is Sugar Maple and the legs are Cherry wood.  It's a short stool, or Milk Stool, that would work great as a hallway stool for slipping in and out of shoes.  Or, in the living room to put your feet up or set you favorite drink on.

The design is sketched out on canvas and hand embroidered.  Then it is wrapped snuggly around a board that has threaded inserts (to attach it to the maple top).  At the same time, the legs are designed, the tenons are turned and the legs are shaped using loud tools and hand tools.  The maple stool top is cut to size, marked up and mortises are cut to accept the leg tenons.  After some trimming, all the wood gets a nice sanding and a protective layer of finish to keep it looking beautiful for a long time.  The embroidered top gets screwed to the maple top and it's ready to go!
